Yay, it's the solstice! Despite tight funds and sick kids I think it's going to be a good day.
Omen for today is Cat (yup said basically the same way in both Irish and English LOL!) - Guardianship, detachment, sensuality - The cat can sit and watch goings on until it is ready to act. It has the ability to see through to the truth in it's patient ability to watch and wait. The cat also can unite an awareness of the spirit world with sensuality, that are both facets of one continuum of awareness and sensitivity.
Nature -
Yesterday was a buggy day it seems. Between the continued appearance of the pretty little painted lady butterfly, to the reappearance of the damselfly/dragonfly who likes to make or yard part of it's regular flight path and ending with the tiny cricket that some how got into the cup cupboard. I still, for the life of me, can not figure out how such a teeny tiny cricket got so high up when hr couldn't even jump high enough to get out of the small glass I put him in to take him outside. He now has a place in my container garden on the patio. :)
As it is the Solstice I am planning on adapting this ritual for use today. We'll see how it goes. I'm still trying to figure out what to make for a feast since half of us are sick. I'd like to make come cornbread but I don't have any milk. I need to figure that issue out. :o
